It helps to include which device and which version of iOS, iPadOS or macOS you are on, the version of Verso from the app’s About screen, and what you did just before the problem appeared.

Tagging a photograph

Import photographs with the + button, from Photos or from Files, or send them to Verso with the share sheet. Open any photograph and type into its tag field: a tag that does not exist yet is created as you type. Tags carry colours, so a library can be read at a glance.

Finding things again

Filter by one tag or by several at once. You can also ask for everything that has not been tagged yet, which is the quickest way to work through a fresh import.

Separate libraries

Libraries never mix. Holiday photographs can be kept apart from scanned documents, and work apart from home. Switch between them from the sidebar.

iCloud sync

Verso keeps your libraries in step across your devices through your own iCloud account, using Apple’s CloudKit. If a device looks out of date, check that it is signed in to the same Apple Account, that iCloud Drive is on, and that the device has a network connection. Large imports can take a while to finish uploading in the background.

Hidden libraries

A library can be put behind Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode, so it does not open in front of whoever you just handed your phone to. This hides the library; it does not encrypt it. The photographs are stored like any others on the device.

Getting your photographs out

Verso hands your photographs back at full resolution, under their own file names. Nothing is re-encoded, re-ranked or rearranged on the way in or on the way out.

Privacy

Verso has no account, no server and no analytics. The privacy policy sets out exactly what the app does and does not do.
